No structure resists progress in theory. In statements, panels, and mission documents, change is a shared ideal. Innovation is applauded, transformation welcomed—until it ceases to be abstract. When real individuals emerge with real deviations, the mood shifts. What was once inspirational becomes threatening. The problem was never change. The problem was always the source of it.
